Bengaluru, 7 April

A senior employee at a private firm was found dead under suspicious circumstances at an upscale apartment in Chikkabanavara on Monday morning. Police suspect a case of suicide linked to prolonged family dispute.

The deceased has been identified as Prashant Nair, 40, who was employed in a senior role at a private tech company in Bengaluru. His body was found hanging in his flat at DS Max Smart Nest Apartments.

Police said Nair was married to Pooja for more than 12 years. The couple, who has an eight-year-old daughter, had reportedly been going through marital discord and divorced recently.

While the exact circumstances remain unclear, police suspect the ongoing family dispute may have taken a toll on Nair’s mental health. No note was found at the scene.

Soladevanahalli Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Forensic teams have inspected the site, and statements from family members and neighbours are being recorded to piece together the timeline and factors that may have led to the tragedy. Investigators are also examining call records and digital evidence for further clues.
