Kalaburagi, 10 May
In light of rising tensions between India and Pakistan, security at Kalaburagi Airport has been significantly tightened. While flight operations continue as scheduled, passengers are being advised to arrive at least two hours before departure due to enhanced security checks.
Airport Director Mahesh has urged travellers to cooperate fully with staff and follow instructions to avoid delays. “Security procedures have been intensified beyond routine levels. We request passengers to be punctual and patient,” he said. Visitor passes have been suspended during this period, and passengers are encouraged to limit the number of people accompanying them for drop-offs or pick-ups.
Across Kalaburagi city, security forces are on high alert. The Bomb Disposal Squad and local police are conducting thorough checks in sensitive locations such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Circle, the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the central bus stand, and the railway station. Unattended bags and parked motorcycles are being closely inspected to prevent any untoward incidents.
Authorities have reassured the public that all necessary precautions are being taken. Citizens are urged to remain calm, vigilant, and report any suspicious activity. Cooperation from the public is seen as vital in maintaining safety during this sensitive time.
