New Delhi, 18 July
State’s BJP unit on Friday hit out at the Congress party after CCTV
cameras showed a video footage of a young girl being attacked and dragged by a
group of stray dogs.
In a post on X, the party stated that the Congress party had been
looting State "day in and day out without a shred of shame", further
stating that the party had done nothing for development.
"You failed to protect our daughters and sons because your
appeasement politics matters more than public safety. You failed to stop cow
slaughter. You failed to prevent maternal deaths. Now don't fail little kids
too. A young girl was just attacked and dragged by stray dogs, caught on
CCTV," the post claimed.
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition R Ashoka alleged that the government was
funding disproportionality. He said that the government was allocating Rs 50
crore to Congress MLAs’ constituencies and Rs 25 crore to BJP-JDS
constituencies.
He alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s Mysuru Sadhana Sammelana
was an attempt to distract the public from the RCB stampede.
Meanwhile, former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai said that development of Dalits and backward communities cannot happen merely through mere announcements and alleged that the CM seemed to believe that mere announcements can fill people's stomachs.
