Kiran Jeevan, social work professor and public policy advocate, met Governor Thawarchand Ghelot at Raj Bhavan today, appealing for urgent intervention to address Bengaluru’s crumbling infrastructure.

Citing over 1,000 citizen reports, he highlighted the toll of pothole-ridden roads on public health, including injuries, spinal issues, and psychological stress.

“This is about dignity and quality of life,” he said, stressing his commitment to reform through collaboration. Dr Jeevan submitted a formal letter urging action and expressed hope in reawakening the city’s systems.

The Governor received the appeal with empathy and assured that the matter would be forwarded to the state government. Jeevan thanked him for his time and support.
