The State Cabinet on Thursday approved several major schemes and projects.
It cleared the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which enhances financial assistance under six existing labour welfare schemes, including educational incentives for organised workers and their dependents.
It also sanctioned the purchase of an Aerial Ladder Platform Vehicle capable of reaching 52-54m for the Fire and Emergency Services Department at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore to strengthen disaster response capabilities in high-rise buildings.
The Cabinet also approved the first phase of an eco-tourism and cultural development project at the Devikarani Estate in Tataguni, Bengaluru district, at a cost of Rs 55.33 crore.

Political corridors were abuzz with a speculation of a major Cabinet reshuffle as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to host a dinner party for Cabinet colleagues on 13 Oct.
The speculation comes as MLAs bat for Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over as the State’s CM.
Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, Shivakumar said, “I will not talk about it.”
