Comedian and late-night icon Conan O’Brien, host of the travel series ‘Conan O’Brien Must Go’, arrived in Bengaluru on Wednesday for a shoot, sending fans into a frenzy across social media.
This is O’Brien’s first visit to India, and he marked the occasion by sharing a photo of himself strolling through a city street with his team. Captioned in his signature comic style —“I’m shooting a reboot of Entourage in Bangalore (sic)”— the post quickly set off a wave of delighted reactions.
Fans flooded the comments with invitations and hyperlocal recommendations. One wrote, “Come to Basaveshwara Nagar Conan, let’s have Benne Dose,” while another urged, “Guru, come let’s have a strong filter coffee.” Several joked that they would now be “stepping out more often” in the hope of “accidentally running into” him.
O’Brien had teased his arrival last week with the message: “Hey India, I’m coming to visit, and I can’t wait to meet all 1.46 billion of you! #ConanOBrienMustGo,” sparking speculation that his Bengaluru stop may feature in upcoming episodes of his travel show, where he meets listeners of his podcast ‘Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan’.
