Three held for assault, death threats in Bengaluru
Police arrest three men who allegedly assaulted and robbed a motorcyclist in Shantinagar using firearms.

Three men have been arrested here for
allegedly assaulting a motorcyclist and threatening to kill him near the
Ayyappa Temple in Shantinagar on 15 November, police said on Sunday. Wilson
Garden police made the arrests and recovered two firearms, two mobile phones, a
silver chain and a stolen two-wheeler from the suspects.
DCP (Central) Akshay M Hakay said the
complainant was intercepted around 5am by three attackers who assaulted him
with a weapon, issued death threats and fled with his belongings. A case was
filed, and investigators traced and detained the trio after sustained
questioning.
Police said the accused had earlier stolen
a two-wheeler and used it to intimidate people by brandishing firearms. They
allegedly robbed mobile phones and jewellery from multiple victims.
The operation was supervised by Central
Division DCP Akshay M Hakay and Halasurugate Sub-Division Acting Commissioner
of Police Sudeer S, with Wilson Garden Police Inspector Farooq Pasha and his
team executing the arrests.
Police said the probe continues to identify
accomplices and link the suspects to other offences.
