Blaze guts Bengaluru godown – 3rd fire in a week
A Kerala-registered lorry parked in front of the warehouse caught fire, and five nearby vehicles were reportedly reduced to ash.

massive fire gutted a godown at the City’s Anjanapura on Sunday morning, the
third major fire in a week. The blaze
broke out at a large mattress manufacturing warehouse and quickly engulfed the
entire facility.

Kerala-registered lorry parked in front of the warehouse caught fire, and five
vehicles parked nearby were reportedly reduced to ash.
Thick
black smoke engulfed the surrounding areas, making breathing difficult for
residents nearby. Two apartments near the warehouse were evacuated as a precautionary
measure, as fire department officials rushed to the spot to douse the flames. No
casualties were reported.
Earlier, at least 20 shops were gutted on Wednesday in Chikpete’s Kumbarapete. Another blaze on Tuesday gutted 30 seized vehicles parked next to the Banaswadi police station.
