A probe has been launched after a video surfaced on social media showing a group of bikers performing wheelies and blocking the movement of an ambulance in the City, police said on Monday.

The video shows four youths on two motorcycles riding in front of the ambulance and preventing it from moving despite its siren being on.

The incident, reportedly occurred at around 2.30 am on 4 July between Goraguntepalya and Yeshwanthpur, sparked outrage online as it allegedly delayed an ambulance carrying a patient.

A senior police officer said that they were examining the video and CCTV footage from the area to identify those involved.

"Strict legal action will be taken against them," he said.

Police said strong action will be taken once the bikers are traced to prevent such dangerous behaviour on city roads. Further investigation is underway.
