Istanbul, 9 August
American
singer and songwriter Jennifer
Lopez’s recent tour stop in Turkey came with an unexpected twist. On Monday, 4
August, the 56-year-old pop star tried to visit a Chanel store in Istanbul but
was turned away by a security guard due to the store being at full capacity,
according to Türkiye Today. Lopez took the moment in stride, smiling and
saying, “Okay, no problem,” before heading to other luxury boutiques, including
Celine and Beymen.
Her visit to Turkey’s largest city coincided with her 5 August performance at
Yenikapi Festival Park during the Istanbul Festival. This marked her second
stop in Turkey on her 'Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour', which wraps up on 12 August in Sardinia, Italy. She previously performed at the Regnum Carya Resort
Hotel on 23 July, celebrating her birthday there the following day.
The
tour has also included special moments, such as in Madrid, where Lopez met
Spanish painter Esther Moya González, who presented her with a live-painted
portrait.
Once
back in the US, Lopez will shift focus to promoting 'Kiss of the Spider Woman',
her upcoming musical film directed by Bill Condon, set to release in theaters
on 10 October.
