Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ marks the sequel to Ajay Devgn’s 2012 hit. Co-starring Mrunal Thakur, the film also features Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Chunky Pandey, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, and Ashwini Kalsekar. On Day 8, the action-comedy collected Rs. 1.15 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, taking its total to Rs 34.15 crore. The Hindi occupancy rate stood at 10.48 per cent on 8 August, with the highest turnout during night shows at 16.79 per cent, followed by evening (10.78 per cent), afternoon (8.75per cent), and morning (5.59per cent) screenings.

Meanwhile, ‘Dhadak 2’, helmed by Shazia Iqbal, is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 romantic drama ‘Dhadak’. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri alongside Saurabh Sachdeva, Zakir Hussain, Deeksha Joshi, and Vipin Sharma, the film earned ₹60 lakh on Day 8, bringing its total to Rs. 17.30 crore. It recorded a slightly higher overall Hindi occupancy of 12.94 per cent, with night shows again leading at 17.60per cent, followed by afternoon (12.78per cent), evening (12.69per cent), and morning (8.70per cent) slots.

While ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is ahead in collections, ‘Dhadak 2’ is holding steady with stronger occupancy percentages. Both films continue their run at the box office, with the coming weekend expected to decide their long-term performance.
