Television actor and Bigg Boss 19 contestant Gaurav Khanna has said he wishes to have a child, but his wife and actor Akanksha Chamola, is not ready for parenthood at present.

In a conversation inside the Bigg Boss' house, Khanna revealed that despite being married for nine years, the couple has chosen not to have children so far. He said he respects his wife’s concerns about the responsibilities of raising a child alongside their demanding acting careers.

“A child is a big responsibility. I work all day, and if my wife also starts working, then who will take care of the children? It would not seem right to leave the child in someone else's care,” he said.

Khanna added that while parenthood is not an immediate plan, the couple may reconsider the decision in the future.

Chamola has earlier remarked that she already has a “big child” to look after, in a playful reference to her husband. She has maintained that both partners must be fully ready before embracing parenthood.

The couple’s candid remarks have drawn attention on social media, with many viewers noting their emphasis on mutual respect and communication in family planning decisions.
