Actor Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam 3, with the makers announcing that the film will release theatrically on 2 October 2026.

The much-anticipated third instalment of the successful Drishyam franchise is currently under production, with shooting underway across multiple cities and locations. According to the makers, the story will progress within the established Drishyam timeline and introduce new and unexpected twists in the lives of the Salgaonkar family.

VijaySalgaonkar, portrayed by Devgn, has emerged as one of Hindi cinema’s most memorable on-screen characters, a simple, middle-class man who confronts adversity through intelligence, emotional strength and unwavering devotion to his family rather than violence.

The original ensemble cast, including Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor, will return to reprise their roles, alongside other well-known actors. The makers have promised intense, edge-of-the-seat drama as the narrative unfolds further.

Drishyam 3 is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. Producers include Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.

The film will release in cinemas worldwide on 2 October 2026.
