Rains swallow Kalaburagi railway bridge, disrupt trains
The Karnataka Express train (1227) going from Bengaluru to Delhi, which had left Kalaburagi railway station in the morning, reportedly halted between Kalaburagi and Solapur railway stations.

Kalaburagi, 24 Sept
Heavy rains submerged a bridge between Pakini-Mundewadi
railway stations in Solapur district of Maharashtra on the Karnataka border,
disrupting train movement from Kalaburagi to Pune and Mumbai.
The flooding disrupted the service of two trains: The
Chennai-Mumbai bound train (12164) and the Bengaluru-Mumbai bound Udyan Express
train (11302).
The Udyan Express train was supposed to leave Kalaburagi
railway station at 8am, while the Chennai-Mumbai bound train was supposed to
leave at 6.15am. However, they were set
to be operated via Bidar, Latur and Kurdwadi after 3pm, Kalaburagi Railway
Station Manager PJ Jijimon said.
The Karnataka Express train (1227) going from Bengaluru to
Delhi, which had left Kalaburagi railway station in the morning, reportedly
halted between Kalaburagi and Solapur railway stations.
Additionally, the Kolhapur Express going from Kalaburagi to
Kolhapur and the demo train going from Kalaburagi to Bidar have been cancelled,
the station master informed.
Inter-State passengers protested the sudden disruptions off trains in Kalaburagi railway station.
