Late-night drunken brawl ends Rohingya man’s life in Hyderabad
Police have taken a suspect into custody after a fatal stabbing at a Rohingya settlement in Hyderabad

A 19-year-old Rohingya man was stabbed to death allegedly by another Rohingya following a drunken brawl in Hyderabad, police said on Thursday.
The incident took place at a Rohingya camp in Balapur around 1.30am on December 17. The victim was allegedly attacked with a knife and stabbed 19 times, resulting in his death on the spot, police said.
A police team reached the location after receiving information about the incident.
At the time of the incident, both were in an inebriated condition and quarrelled over an issue. During the argument, the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife, leading to his death, a police officer at Balapur police station said.
Police, citing the post-mortem report, said the deceased sustained 19 stab injuries on different parts of his body. The suspect has been taken into custody, and police are verifying whether he is a minor. A case of murder has been registered.
