China's Guizhou province severe floods: Six killed, mass evacuations prompted
Six people were killed in floods in Guizhou, China, on 26 June. Heavy rainfall in Rongjiang and Congjiang led to over 80,000 evacuations. A Level I emergency was declared. Landslides also damaged a bridge in Sandu, though no casualties were reported.

Suryakumar undergoes successful sports hernia surgery in Germany
India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav underwent successful sports hernia surgery on 26 June in Munich. He’ll begin rehab in Bengaluru in two weeks and is set to return for the Bangladesh tour on 26 August. This marks his third surgery in three years.
