BIDAR, 30 APRIL 

A couple was stabbed to death in front of their two-year-old child near Kohinoor Pahad–Ladwanti Road in Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district on Tuesday.

The victims, Raju Kolsure, 28, and his wife Sharika Kolsure, 23, were residents of Jaffarwadi village. According to police, the double murder is linked to an alleged extramarital affair involving Raju.

Raju was reportedly in a relationship with a woman named Pallavi, who is said to be the sister of the accused, Dattatreya. Enraged by the affair and the circulation of a photo of the two on social media, Dattatreya, along with his cousin Tukaram and Pallavi’s husband Vitthal, allegedly conspired to carry out the attack.

Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti told Salar News that Pallavi had lured Raju back to Jaffarwadi from Mumbai through a phone call. Upon his return, Raju and Sharika were ambushed and attacked with sharp weapons near Kohinoor Pahad–Ladwanti Road. Both died on the spot, while their toddler witnessed the murder. Following the incident, the accused surrendered at the local police station. Those arrested are Dattatreya, a resident of Yarandagi; Tukaram, resident of Jaffarwadi; and Pallavi, also a resident of Jaffarwadi

Manthal Police have registered a case under Sections 103(1), 49, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
