An FIR was registered against an RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for allegedly delivering an inflammatory speech that could incite communal tension in Mangaluru, police said. Bhat delivered the speech on 12 May during a condolence meeting organised in memory of a Suhas Shetty, they said. Bhat addressed a gathering of around 500 people and allegedly made provocative statements that could disturb public harmony and foster enmity between communities. Meanwhile, Hindu workers protested outside Kadaba police station on Sunday night against police visits to collect personal information from their homes. Officers visited the residences of Hindu workers, reportedly under the directive of Superintendent of Police Arun K, prompting allegations from demonstrators that police took photographs and created an atmosphere of fear among families, particularly affecting women and children.
