BELAGAVI, 29 JUNE

Belagavi police arrested Kudachi gram panchayat member Baabajan Khalimullah for firing in the air during his birthday celebrations, in Kudachi town of Raibag taluk in Belagavi on Saturday night. Baabajan a Congress party worker had thrown a party to celebrate his birthday for his friends and supporters. During the celebrations, he opened fire with an air gun and later roamed on the road by holding a knife in the hand. After the videos went viral, the Kudachi police registered a suo-motu case and later arrested Baabajan.
