MYSURU, 6 JULY

Eight weeks ahead of Mysuru Dasara celebrations, which is scheduled to be held between 22 September and 2 October, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikanta Reddy has formed 19 Dasara subcommittees to organise the Dasara 2025 in a grand way. With Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directing the authorities concerned and his cabinet colleagues to organise the festival on a grand scale, the authorities nominated official members to the subcommittees. This follows a meeting by district in-charge minister HC Mahadevappa. Additional deputy commissioner Shivaraj P is Dasara deputy special officer (DDSO) to the welcoming, invitation and reception subcommittee, and commissioner of police Seema Latkar is DDSO to the procession and torch-light parade subcommittees, while Malathi Priya is the DDSO to Gajapayana.
