Mysuru, 6 July

Two persons including a food delivery boy died after a high-end speeding bike hit them around 2am on Sunday near Banni Mantap. The bike was reduced to ashes due to the impact of the collision.

According to the police, the deceased, Mohammed Shareian alias Shara, 30, resident of KP Mohalla of Chamarajanagar, was riding the bike when a food delivery boy -- Karthik MS, 42, came in the way.

Police believe Shara was drag race at the time, as the bike caught fire after it hit a roadside lamp following the accident. The Banni Mantap road, which is a concrete stretch, is often used for drag racing during the wee hours, according to locals.
