Cops arrest 7 in silver artefacts factory robbery case

Mysuru police arrested seven inter-state gang members in a silver factory robbery, recovering 16 kg of silver, vehicles, and a pistol.

MYSURU, 14 AUG 


Mysuru City police have cracked a week-old robbery case by arresting an inter-state gang from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, seizing Rs 18 lakh worth of silver items.


Police were able to solve the case after the fingerprint bureau helped with the identification of the prime suspect, who was the driver of the factory owner.


Speaking to reporters, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar said they have recovered 16kgs silver items, two cars, one pistol and seven live bullets from the accused.


Police said that the gang of seven barged into a silver articles manufacturing factory in the early hours of 28 July at Hebbal Industrial area in the City.


Hebbal Police have arrested all seven robbers.
