Won’t contest from Tumakuru next parliamentary polls: Sommana
He said the party High Command will decide where he should contest from.

Union Minister V Somanna said that he will not be contesting from Tumakuru parliamentary constituency in the next parliament elections.
The BJP minister said he had earlier contested
from the seat on the directions from the party’s High Command.
He noted that the Centre had initiated a
slew of development works in Tumakuru after he was elected as Union Minister and
the region was witnessing tremendous growth.
He cited several projects that he claimed
to have pushed, and noted that tenders were floated for the development of
Hassan- Tiptur- Chikkanayanahalli railway line at the cost of Rs 4,800 crore
“Works which were pending for 50 years
gained momentum” under me, Sommana said.
“Despite this, I will not contest from Tumkur in the next
parliamentary polls.”
He said the party High Command will decide where he should contest from.
