Social media is abuzz with screenshots and photos of the CM’s vehicle,
with users cheekily urging him to make use of the ongoing "50 per cent
traffic fine discount".
One viral post said, “Offer is on, Sir! Avail now!”
Among the violations registered are over speeding, driving without a
seatbelt along with various others.
This revelation has not only embarrassed the State’s top office but also
reignited public discussions on accountability and equal enforcement of traffic
laws.
Additionally, social media posts stating that the Chief Minister set an
example are flooding social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter),
Instagram, and Facebook.
Moreover, memes with captions like “No one is above the law — not even
the CM's car” are circulating in social media.
Adding to the buzz, the City traffic police have announced a 50 per cent fine waiver scheme, active from 23 August to 12 September, 2025. Vehicle owners with pending fines can settle them at half the cost during this period — but only for violations registered within BBMP limits.
