Bidar, 5 Sept

Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma announced that a comprehensive social and educational survey of all communities and castes will be conducted across Bidar district from 22 Sept to 7 Oct.

She was speaking on Friday while presiding over the district-level coordination committee meeting on the social and educational status survey, held at the DC’s office auditorium. She said the survey will cover all sections of society.

Government teachers and other department staff will be appointed as enumerators and supervisors, and the details of enumerators must be uploaded on the survey portal.

In Bidar district, 90 master trainers, 450 supervisors, and 4,400 enumerators will take part in the survey. The DC directed officials to ensure a complete and accurate enumeration of 3.40 lakh households, including nomadic and semi-nomadic communities, tandas, and all residents of the district.

She noted that the Energy Department has already begun attaching stickers with UHID details on houses through meter readers, and that geo-tagging has also begun. To raise awareness, NSS students will distribute survey forms door-to-door, she added.
