Five arrested in Mangaluru gold bar robbery case
A senior police officer revealed that the plot was orchestrated with assistance from a former employee of the jewellery store, who provided intelligence on the victim's movements.

Mangaluru, 29 Sept
Five individuals, including a juvenile,
have been arrested in connection with the alleged abduction and robbery of a
gold shop employee who was transporting a gold bar on a scooter in Mangaluru,
Karnataka. Police officials confirmed the arrests on Monday.
The suspects have been identified as
Farish, 18, Safwan, 23, Arafat Ali, 18, Faraz, 19, and a juvenile in conflict
with the law.
According to police reports, the incident
took place on 26 September near the Venkataramana Temple on Car Street. During
the attack, two assailants intercepted the employee, Mustafa, before others in
a car forced him into the vehicle, assaulted him, and subsequently abandoned
him in Ekkur after stealing the gold bar from his scooter.

Law enforcement officials has also seized a scooter used in the crime and is currently working to locate the car and recover the stolen property. The investigation is ongoing and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, police stated.
