'I am not PM to fail at keeping promises': Siddaramaiah at Mysuru job fair

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah
kicked off the “Mega Job Fair and Yuva Samruddhi Sammelana" in Mysuru by
declaring that “I am not Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who fails to keep his
promises”.
“Modi promised to create 2 crore jobs
annually but failed to deliver,” he said on Friday. “Over these 11 years, a
total of 22 crore jobs should have been created.”
Noting that the Karnataka Congress
government had hosted job fairs in Bengaluru, he said, “58,892 job aspirants
have participated and benefited by gaining opportunities and knowledge. Of
these, 11,507 candidates have received appointment letters, and 22,819
candidates have been shortlisted for the final stage.”
On the Statewide impact, he said, “In job
fairs held across districts, 1,20,563 candidates participated, 24,391
candidates received appointment letters, and 48,232 candidates were selected
for the final round.”
As many as 13,289 people attended the divisional level udyog mela in Mysuru while at least 43,000 people had registered. 1,346 candidates received offer letters while 3,303 were shortlisted. A total of 235 companies participated in the mela.
