Union Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy slammed Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the ruling Congress for failing to reach the deadline for fixing potholes. Kumaraswamy said the government has “completely failed”.

Siddaramaiah had set an October deadline for officials to repair the Bengaluru’s pothole – a promise that wasn’t met.  When pressed on the issue on Friday, he snapped at a reporter and said “go ask (Deputy Chief Minister) DK Shivakumar” and left.

“The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister gave deadlines to the concerned officials of BBMP,” Kumaraswamy told press. “Now the Chief Minister is putting the entire burden on the Deputy Chief Minister. So, what is the Chief Minister's role? He has to answer to the people."
