Man arrested for raping Class 9 girl in Yadgir
Police said that when the girl was questioned, she told her parents that Shivappa had raped her and threatened her.

A
POCSO case has been registered at the Kembhavi police station against a married
man for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl from a village in Surapura taluk.
Police
said that a case under BNS Section 65(1), 351(2) and POCSO was registered
against Shivappa, a neighbour of the girl.
The
girl's parents had gone to Bengaluru and were working as labourers there. The
girl, who is studying in class 9, had gone to Bengaluru to stay with her parents
a few months ago. She returned to her hometown to go to school.
Seeing
that the girl was alone at home, Shivappa barged into her house at night and
raped her. He raped the girl twice and also warned her against telling her
parents, they said.
The
girl, who had gone to Bengaluru again to visit her parents last month,
developed a fever. When she was taken to a hospital, it was found that she was
two months pregnant. Police said that when the girl was questioned, she told
her parents that Shivappa had raped her and had threatened her.
