Sri Hanuman Chalisa recital draws 5,000 devotees in Karnataka

Devotees from all across the country partook in the Sri Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Maha Yagna at the Maharaja’s College Grounds in Mysuru. 


Over 50,000 devotees took part in the event organized by Avadhoota Datta Peetham ,Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram for universal peace, including welfare of farmers and soldiers.


People from all walks of life could be seen reciting the holy Hanuman Chalisa 18 tumes as the yagna was performed.


The venue reverberated with slogans like “Rama Lakshma Janaki, Jai Bholo Hanuman Ki”. Devotees danced to the bhajans, while waving saffron flags.                   


Sri Ganapathya Sacchidananda Swamiji highlighted the significance of the Hanuman Chalisa Mantra before the gathering. Reciting it daily helps to will ward off fear, cure sins of people, he said. 


Hanuma Rakshe were distributed to all participants. A huge idol of Anjaneyaswamy was also installed at the podium. The participation of Hanuma Veshadharis was the major attraction of the event. Various pujas including pavamana homa and other rituals were held.


MLAs TS Srivatsa, GT Devegowda and K Harishgowda also participated in the event.
