The police have registered a case against an 11-year-old boy for allegedly raising pro-Pakistan slogans at a salon in Udupi district.

The minor has been identified as the son of a migrant worker from Bihar.

He had reportedly visited a salon for a haircut when he shouted ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, following which residents lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, the Kundapura Rural Police initiated an investigation into the incident.

Police sources indicated that there are allegations that the boy may have been instigated by others to raise the slogan. A separate case has also been registered in connection with the alleged provocation.
