Swachhata roadshow organised by the Mysuru City Corporation on Sunday to create
awareness among citizens about the importance of cleanliness received an overwhelming response.
People
riding vintage cars and bikes, cultural troupes, pourakarmikas, students, and
members of various organizations participated in the roadshow.
District-in-charge
Minister HC Mahadevappa called upon the public to actively participate in such
rallies organized by city civic bodies and the district administration.
The Minister also recalled the contributions of Maharajas of Mysuru, Nalwadi
Krishnaraja Wadiyar, in the development of Karnataka.
Highlighting
the role of Pourkarmikas in keeping the city clean, he asked residents to
strive to keep their surroundings clean.
The
Minister also extended his greetings to women on the occasion of ‘International
Women’s Day’ on Sunday. He highlighted the immense contributions of women
across the globe and emphasized the need to protect the dignity of women.
