Congress on Monday alleged serious discrepancies in the details of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors published on the CEO's official website and urged the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to immediately postpone the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

In a letter submitted by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) Media and Communication Department chairman and MLC Ramesh Babu, the party claimed that two official databases on the CEO's website carry conflicting information. While one list titled 'BLOs & BLO Supervisor List' contains names and mobile numbers of election officials, another section titled 'Information on Voter Facilitation Centres, BLO Facilitation Centres and Officer Contact Details' lists different names and contact numbers for the same polling areas.

Congress said the discrepancies were found in several Assembly constituencies, including Chikkanayakanahalli and Yeshwanthpur where different BLOs and BLO supervisors are shown for the same jurisdiction.

The party said the conflicting information creates confusion among voters, political parties, Booth Level Agents (BLAs), election observers and other stakeholders. A voter relying on one official list could be directed to a different officer in another, affecting access to enrolment, correction, deletion and other electoral services.

Congress said publication of contradictory official data undermines public confidence and could prejudice voters' rights.

The party sought:

• Immediate verification and rectification of the discrepancies.

• Publication of a single authenticated list of BLOs and BLO Supervisors with correct names, polling station details and mobile numbers.

• District-wise verification of all BLO and BLO Supervisor contact details.
