near Gayamukha Temple in Bhalki taluk.
The deceased, identified as Sanjana, 26, of Honnikeri village, Bidar taluk, married Bhagavat Gyaneshwar Biradar, who is serving in the Indian Army, about two years ago and resided in Shivanagar, Bidar.
Allegations state Bhagavat was involved

allegedly drove her to Honnikeri forest.
On 25 June, Bhagavat took Sanjana to temples, then stopped the car near Jagadeshwari Math, attacked her with an iron rod, and she succumbed today (30 June). Her family claimed he had poisoned her in July 2025, but she escaped.
