Davanagere, 22 August

A class 10 student of a private residential school in Davanagere has gone missing from hostel after the warden made him remove his clothes in front of his classmates as punishment.

The student, Jeevan, of Pushpa Mahalingappa Residential School, is said to have left the hostel campus on Friday evening and has not been traced since.

As per the complaint filed by his parents, students were playing volleyball when Jeevan arrived at the ground wearing clothes other than the prescribed school uniform.

The hostel warden reprimanded him and ordered him to remove his clothes in front of the other students. Jeevan told him that he would change in his room and return. However, the warden insisted on him removing his clothes on the playground itself.
