Belagavi, 9 October
Preparations are reportedly underway to shift former MP Prajwal Revanna from Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison to Hindalga Central Prison in Belagavi.
Sources said an official email had been received by the chief superintendent of Hindalga prison regarding the proposed transfer, with instructions to make the necessary arrangements at the earliest.
Following the communication, prison authorities are understood to have begun preparations to accommodate Prajwal. There is speculation in prison circles that he could be brought to Belagavi under escort security at any time.
This comes after several mobile phones were found inside Parappana Agrahara prison, including with Prajwal, who is accused of raping or sexually assaulting 100 women.
However, there has been no official confirmation of the proposed transfer, and the date of his possible arrival at Hindalga prison remains unclear.
