Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday urged visitors to Mysuru Dasara to post reels showcasing the festivities on social media, announcing government awards for the best 100 entries.


Participants must tag the official Mysuru Dasara-2026 account, @mysoredasara_2026. Details of the prizes, judging criteria and deadline are yet to be announced.


Shivakumar also said the government planned to extend Mysuru’s Dasara illumination by 10 days, with an announcement expected soon.


He stressed the need to preserve Karnataka’s cultural heritage, citing traditional festivals such as Dasara and Kambala, and attractions including the air show and Yuva Dasara.
