Bengaluru, 6 November

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah is unlikely to attend the meeting called by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday, citing prior engagements in Hassan.

However, KPCC President BK Hariprasad and Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will be attending the meeting.

The development comes after Siddaramaiah met Rahul on Monday in New Delhi and reportedly briefed him on the alleged sting operation videos targeting him. Now, Shivakumar and Hariprasad are expected to brief Rahul about the investigation.

Police have said that the allegations of the sting video are fabricated and the narratives are deliberately constructed. Police have also linked Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s New Delhi residence to the probe, while the Congress has suspended Kripa Alva for “anti-party activities”.
