BENGALURU, 9 NOV


A driver of Rapido accused of harassing a woman passenger while she was returning to her accommodation has been arrested, police said on Sunday.


The incident that allegedly occurred on 6 November came to light after the woman posted about it on social media.


The police’s social media monitoring team noticed the post and contacted her for details.


The police registered a case the next day and are conducting an investigation in the matter. 


The accused has been identified as Lokesh, 28. He is a resident of Muniyappa Layout in Ullal in the City.


The woman was returning to her paying guest accommodation from Church Street when the incident occurred.
