Bengaluru, 22 October

Former Lok Sabha member and actor Divya Spandana, also known as Ramya, took to X on Thursday to complain about crackers and loud music in Bengaluru that continued through the early hours.

Tagging the Bengaluru police and the Deputy Commissioner of the north division, Ramya said, “It's almost 3am, and Fun World is still bursting crackers and blasting music. The Supreme Court has prohibited bursting crackers between 10pm and 6am, and loudspeakers can't run past midnight even with special permission. I understand occasions call for some flexibility, but not at this hour. There are hospitals nearby and senior citizens and children living all around.”

She posted two more videos showing that the loud music continued to play at 4am and 5.23 am.

Ramya then later clarified that the music was not from Fun World but a government school ground.

“This was not Fun World- this was at the govt school ground next to Radhakrishna theatre”, she said.
