New York, 15 Sept
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards were held Sunday at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, with Apple TV+ dominating the night.
Seth Rogen’s ‘The Studio’ made history by winning 12 awards, the most ever for a comedy series in a single season, surpassing last year’s record by ‘The Bear’. The show won top comedy honours along with acting, directing, and writing awards. ‘Severance’, another Apple TV+ hit, was among the night’s biggest nominees.
Limited series ‘Adolescence’ picked up four awards, including best supporting actor for 15-year-old Owen Cooper.
Comedian Nate Bargatze hosted the ceremony for the first time.
