The Cauvery Neeravari Nigam, which manages the iconic Brindavan Gardens and the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Dam in Mandya, has withdrawn its recently revised entry and service fee structure following widespread public protests, including opposition from farmers. An order to this effect was issued by Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Assistant Executive Engineer Faruque Ahmed Abbu from 7 May. Visitors can now pay entry fees to its prominent tourist spots with old rates only. It increased the entry and service fees for visitors with effective 1 May, 2025. As per the new structure, the entry fee for adults was doubled from Rs 50 to Rs 100. For children, the fee increased from Rs 20 to Rs 50.
