Mumbai battered by heavy rain; orange alert issued

Intense overnight showers lashed Mumbai’s suburbs with several areas receiving more than 100 mm of rain in just four hours, triggering waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the City. IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai for the next few days.
